What is PDJ's Private Lenders Network? We are a Southern California based, private money real estate financing and development company. Since 1987, we have been offering Creative Financing Solutions to local real estate investors involved with small-scale residential and commercial rehabilitation and development projects. We also offer high-return, well-secured Trust Deed Investments to individuals and private trusts.
Who is PDJ?
Since 1985, Paul D. Johnson has been a personal investment advisor/coach and CA broker who specializes in real estate financing, management and development. Up until 1985, Paul had worked as a corporate financial and computer systems consultant in Los Angeles for 13 years. Because he also made successful investments in securities and real estate, in 1985, he was able to leave corporate life to devote his full attention to investing his own assets. Others began asking Paul for personal financial advice. This led Paul to begin helping them make successful financial plans and find investments that yield substantial income and profit.
Beginning in 1990, for two years, Paul hosted a bi-weekly television program, The Real Estate Alternative, for KWHY-22, The Business Channel in Los Angeles (and various other cable channels). He has been a featured guest on many radio shows and on CNBC's daily national television Smart Money show. His articles on real estate investing have appeared in various newspapers and newsletters and his seminars have been given at colleges, corporations and public meetings. He created the nationally distributed, 60-minute audio program, The Trust Deed and Mortgage Investor's Quick-Start Consumer Guide: What You Need to Know Before Ever Investing.
Over the years, Paul has also provided services as an expert witness and consultant involving issues of real estate and real estate securities. Special areas of service have included evaluating investment fraud and misrepresentation cases, delivering expert testimony in court, preparing questions for depositions, designing offerings of real estate securities, resolving property management conflicts, and performing property valuation and project feasibility studies.
Today, most of Paul's professional time is spent "down in the trenches" of real estate investment as he weekly researches dozens of properties, trust deeds and loan requests in search for high-return, well-secured trust deed investments for himself and his private investor clients. This results in hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash investment each month. Paul is also involved as a lender in almost all trust deed investments offered.
Paul holds a Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in engineering and economics from UCLA. He is also a graduate of UCLA's Personal Financial Planner Program.
